PRICING

  • Roots to Sky pricing is considered “Premium” and emulates the same pricing models as Naturopaths. If we cannot meet your budget, Matt may recommend you to book at his other outpatient clinics above.
  • That said, for specific complex needs determined by Roots to Sky, we may offer financial assistance programs to meet your wallet (and stress levels!) balanced – wherever you are.

ACCESSIBILITY

  • There is no obligation to continue once you’ve had a chance to look through the introduction materials.
  • Besides acupuncture, most services offered here at Roots to Sky can be done over telehealth in the comfort of your own home. If depression, travel time, or schedules get in the way – we will always find a time that works. Herb orders can be easily mailed.
  • Not ready to commit to a months-long “journey” to reach your health goals? No problem! Simply keep your foot in the door with Teams “Wellness Q&A” sessions to keep you moving forward instead of pausing, and keep your road ahead clear of confusions or overwhelm.

RESULTS TIMELINE/BUDGETTING EXPECTATIONS

  • Matt has been practicing for over 15 years and has been deeply mentored & independently studied his entire life – and takes an “evidence/results-based” approach.
  • What this means is through his own “clinical trials” he factors wholistic variables individual variables against different TCM theories and protocols while remaining skeptical and “science minded” to ensure we are always achieving our goals and performing “above placebo”.
  • This means that Matt has developed a highly effective & rapid rate of results unique among TCM professionals. He has pioneered the following categorizations:
    • “Qi-Level” (Functional/Physiological):
      • Examples:
        • Digestive concerns, painful/erratic menstrual concerns, standard muscle/headache tension, common “deficiency” conditions, mental health, sleep, stress etc – all with negative lab/imaging tests
      • Timeframe:
        • 4 weekly sessions plus 2-3 bi-weekly, often but not always needing a short round of TCM herbal formulas to ensure “finish the job” for prevention purposes.
      • MENSTRUAL EXCEPTIONS
        • Because we are “working in the dark” & must wait until a period cycle completes to see the results of our work, we often require at least three full period cycles to claim success
        • This often means one acupuncture treatment for each weekly (ish) stage of the menstrual cycle, then often 1-2x per month for the follow 2 periods.
    • “Shen Level” (More serious/debilitating mental health concerns)
      • Examples:
        • Trauma, Bi-polar, Diagnosed depressive disorders
      • Timeframe:
        • Highly dependent on patient determination, with higher rates of success if already familiar/working with a psychotherapist
        • Likely requires the more “advanced” Inspired Success Roots to Sky tracking sessions (generally 1.5-2hrs per session, herbal formulas, active goal tracking, etc)
        • 2-6 months
    • “Blood/Organ Level” (Physical Conditions/Disease)
      • Physician/hospital/specialist diagnosed & confirmed by imaging/lab tests
      • With some of these we may often seek to be “functionally cured” meaning, while technically the condition may still be present, it is no longer a “source of suffering”, and instead we focus on preventing relapse.
      • Examples:
        • Crohn’s, PCOS/fibroids/endometriosis
      • Timeframe:
        • 3-6 Months for significant improvement in quality of life, some conditions may require long term herbal formulas
        • Note that long term in our case is different than being on a pharmaceutical medication for life – for TCM practitioners, once you stop an acupuncture/TCM formula, the results should last, not relapse!
          • We seek to resolve conditions at treat the “root”, not mask them!
      • SEVERITY EXCEPTIONS
        • Matt specializes in mental health, general wellness, and prevention and knows the limits of his expertise. So with advanced stages of illness (ex. stage 3-4 cancers, advanced fibroids/endo, advanced organ dysfunction/degeneration etc, Matt makes no hesitation to refer to mainstream medical specialists/hospitals if you aren’t already working alongside a team, and then will subsequently refer-out to TCM specialist colleagues.
        • Rest assured! Many continue to work with Matt as his primary “circle of care guide”, and in these cases he remains in close touch with any other specialists.
